This exceeds the national growth trend for information technology directors. National projections show a rise of just 23 percent over the next 10 years. The income for information technology directors is $29 per hour or $60,000 per year on average in Utah. Nationally, their income is $33 hourly or $69,000 per year on average.

In order to be successful in the workplace, information technology directors must be reliable and believe in an agile approach to problem solving and deal with change.
