This growth is similar to the national trend for information technology directors, which sees the job pool increasing by the same percentage. Information technology directors install, configure, and support an organization's local area network, wide area network, and Internet system or a segment of a network system.

Information technology directors earn $28 per hour or $58,000 per year on average in Indiana. Nationally, their income is $33 hourly or $69,000 per year on average.

Indiana, also known as the Hoosier State, is home to 6,423,113 people. It has seen its population grow by 5.6 percent over the last 10 years. The capital is Indianapolis. Information technology directors should be able to articulate ideas and problems and think through problems and come up with general rules.

In order to be successful in the workplace, information technology directors must be reliable and believe in an agile approach to problem solving and deal with change.
