Technology Management Jobs and MBA Programs in Washington

People considering careers as technology managers can find employment and education prospects in Washington. There are currently 6,920 jobs for technology managers in Washington and that number is growing. A projected rise of 28 percent in employment opportunities will make the figure 8,050 jobs by 2016. This exceeds the national growth trend for technology managers. National projections show a rise of just 16 percent over the next 10 years. Technology managers create and implement information systems for a client firm and supervise their maintenance.

Technology managers earn $62 per hour or $129,000 per year on average in Washington. Nationally, their income is $57 hourly or $118,000 per year on average.

Nicknamed the Evergreen State, Washington has a population of 6,664,195, which has grown by 13.1 percent in the last 10 years. Olympia is the state capital. There were a total of 4,012,270 jobs in 2008 and people in Washington earned more than the previous year as the average annual income was $42,747, up from $41,919. In order to be successful in the workplace, technology managers must have exceptional integrity and be reliable.
