Technology Management Jobs and MBA Programs in Pennsylvania

Technology managers can find many career and educational opportunities in Pennsylvania. At 9,060, the number of jobs in Pennsylvania for technology managers is projected to rise 11 percent to 10,050 jobs by 2016. This rise is below the projected rise of the national job pool, which shows an increase of 16 percent in the number of technology manager jobs over the next 10 years. In general, technology managers create and implement information systems for a client firm and supervise their maintenance.

In Pennsylvania, the income for technology managers is $57 per hour or $117,000 per year. In the U.S. as a whole, their income is $57 hourly or $118,000 per year on average.

Nicknamed the Keystone State, Pennsylvania has a population of 12,604,767. It has grown by 2.6 percent in the last 10 years. Harrisburg is the state capital. In 2008, there were a total of 7,407,409 jobs and at $39,762, the average annual income in Pennsylvania was higher than the previous year's per capita figure of $38,738. Technology managers should be able to read and understand documents and reports and articulate ideas and problems.

In order to be successful in the workplace, technology managers must have exceptional integrity and be reliable.
