Technology Management Jobs and MBA Programs in Oklahoma

State figures show that technology managers in Oklahoma earn $41 per hour or $84,000 per year on average. In the U.S. as a whole, their income is $57 hourly or $118,000 per year on average.

Oklahoma, also known as the Sooner State, is home to 3,687,050 people. It's population has increased 6.9 percent over the last 10 years. The state capital is Oklahoma City. There were 2,206,469 total jobs in 2008 and workers in Oklahoma earned more than the previous year with an average annual income of $35,969, up from $34,298. The unemployment rate in Oklahoma was 6.4 percent in 2009. It went up by 2.7 percentage points since the previous year. The number of residents with a college degree is 20.3 percent. This is under the national average.

The top employing fields in Oklahoma include shipping container manufacturing, pump manufacturing, oil field machinery manufacturing and all other industrial machinery manufacturing.

While being known for many things, one of the most noteworthy, Turner Falls Park in Davis is the oldest park in Oklahoma. Many springs from the world famous Arbuckle Mountains form Honey Creek that cascades down a seventy-seven foot fall to a natural swimming pool making the majestic Turner Falls the largest waterfall in Oklahoma. One of the unique tidbits about Oklahoma is Anadarko is home to the only authentic Indian City in the United States. It is located in the beautiful Washita river valley in southwest Oklahoma.

Technology managers should be able to read and understand documents and reports and articulate ideas and problems.

In order to be successful in the workplace, technology managers must have exceptional integrity and be reliable.
