Technology Management Jobs and MBA Programs in Maryland

State figures show that technology managers in Maryland earn $59 per hour or $123,000 per year on average. In the U.S. as a whole, their income is $57 hourly or $118,000 per year on average.

Also known as the Old Line State, Maryland has a population of 5,699,478. It has grown by 7.6 percent in the last 10 years. Annapolis is the state capital. There were 3,471,985 total jobs in 2008 and workers in Maryland earned more than the previous year with an average annual income of $48,164, up from $46,922. The unemployment rate in Maryland was 7.0 percent in 2009. It went up by 2.6 percentage points since the previous year. The number of residents with a college degree is 31.4 percent. This surpasses the national average.

Engineering services, radio broadcasting communications equipment manufacturing, photofinishing and photofinishing laboratories (except one-hour) are the top employing fields in Maryland.

In order to be successful in the workplace, technology managers must have exceptional integrity and be reliable.
