Georgia has an abundance of educational and career opportunities for agents. The job pool for agents in Georgia is growing and currently sits at 580. A 22 percent bump in the number of jobs is projected to put the figure at 780 by 2016. This growth equals the national trend for agents. In general, agents represent and promote artists, performers, and athletes to prospective employers and handle contract negotiation and other business matters for clients.

State figures show that agents in Georgia earn $31 per hour or $64,000 per year on average. In the U.S. as a whole, their income is $39 hourly or $81,000 per year on average.

Georgia, nicknamed the Peach State, has seen its population grow 20.1 percent to 9,829,211 over the last decade. The state capital is Atlanta. In 2008, the total number of jobs was 5,571,666 and the average annual income in Georgia was $34,849, which is up from $34,612 the previous year. Unemployment increased to 9.6 percent in 2009, a jump of 3.3 percentage points from the previous year. The number of residents with a college degree is 24.3 percent, which is under the national average.

The top employing fields in Georgia include motor vehicle vehicle parts merchant wholesalers, automobile motor vehicle merchant wholesalers, textile product mills and textile furnishings mills.

One of the many things Georgia is known for, Stone Mountain near Atlanta is one of the largest single masses of exposed granite in the world. Georgia has many unique characteristics, but one fun fact in particular is Known as the sweetest onion in the world, the Vidalia onion can only be grown in the fields around Vidalia and Glennville.

They regularly collect fees or other payments, in line with contract terms. They also arrange meetings concerning issues involving their clients.

They are required to respond to the actions of other and coordinate activities with them and speak clearly and communicate with others.

Agents should be able to listen to and understand others in meetings and read and understand documents and reports.

In order to be successful in the workplace, agents must be able to deal with stress and deal with situations calmly and be persistant in the face of problems and impediments.
