MBA Programs in Organizational Mgt.

Just like your body wouldnit be able to sustain itself without the internal framework of your skeleton, businesses just canit function right without a strong organizational framework to build upon. Employees have to be distributed correctly, a chain of command needs to be established and ultimately management needs to be able to function efficiently and effectively to help businesses be as productive and profitable as they can be. You can break into this career field or find advancement within it by pursuing a specialized MBA in organizational development.

While each school varies, a majority of MBA programs take about 18-24 months to complete. Some schools may offer accelerated programs and weekend study for those who donit fit the mold of traditional students. A typical program will include courses that provide some essential knowledge in business through education in finance, management and strategy as well as those that fit the more specific needs of organizational managers. This can include courses that cover intervention techniques, system change and management, organizational redesign, organizational change theory and much more. Through this course of study, students will gain a solid understanding of how businesses are organized and begin to understand how they can be more efficiently designed and engineered to boost profits, output and even employee morale and loyalty. The general knowledge gained through the program can also be useful to those seeking any kind of management position, even if organizational management isnit the main focus of a job opportunity as many employers will appreciate the management courses and education.

While working as an organizational manager may be a challenging job, it can also be quite rewarding as well both on a personal and financial level. Surveys place the average salary of an organizational manager somewhere between $50,000 and $70,000. Of course, what your salary upon graduation will be will depend largely on your previous experience, area of expertise, geographic location and a multitude of other factors so this range should not be seen as a guarantee. Potential careers in this field range from industries like insurance sales to large media conglomerates. This variety in career fields can make it easier for some graduates to find suitable work that meets their needs and desires as a professional.
