Alabama has an abundance of educational and career opportunities for operations managers. In Alabama, there are currently 33,500 jobs for operations managers and this is projected to grow by six percent to 31,430 jobs by 2016. This is above the national trend, which shows relatively little movement. Operations managers create and execute project work plans and revise to meet changing needs and identify resources needed to complete project.

Nicknamed the Heart of Dixie, Alabama is home to 4,708,708 people. It has seen its population grow by 5.9 percent over the last 10 years. The capital is Montgomery. In order to be successful in the workplace, operations managers must be reliable and be able to take change and lead.
