There are currently 4,690 jobs for marketing managers in Minnesota and that number is growing. A projected rise of 12 percent in employment opportunities will make the figure 5,880 jobs by 2016. This growth equals the national trend for marketing managers. In general, marketing managers determine the demand for products and services offered by a firm and its competitors and identify potential customers and develop strategies for maximizing profits while ensuring customer satisfaction.

In Minnesota, the income for marketing managers is $59 per hour or $121,000 per year. In the U.S. as a whole, their income is $57 hourly or $118,000 per year on average.

With a population of 5,266,214, Minnesota, also called North Star State, has grown by 7.0 percent in the last 10 years. Saint Paul is the state capital. There were a total of 3,567,295 jobs in 2008 and people in Minnesota earned more than the previous year as the average annual income was $42,953, up from $41,693. One of the many things Minnesota is known for, Minneapolis is home to the oldest continuously running theater (Old Log Theater) and the largest dinner theater (Chanhassan Dinner Theater) in the country. Minnesota has many unique characteristics, but one fun fact in particular is the climate-controlled Metrodome is the only facility in the country to host a Super Bowl, a World Series and a NCAA Final Four Basketball Championship.

They are required to talk through and persuade others when needed and speak clearly and communicate with others.

Marketing managers should be able to listen to and understand others in meetings and articulate ideas and problems.

In order to be successful in the workplace, marketing managers must be reliable and be thorough and dependable.
