Leadership Jobs and MBA Programs in Ohio

There are many career and education opportunities for operating officers in Ohio. In Ohio, there are currently 10,460 jobs for operating officers and this is projected to fall by four percent to 16,310 jobs by 2016. This drop is more steep than the national trend for operating officers that sees the job pool shrinking by one percent over the next 10 years. In general, operating officers recognize and create policies for the overall direction of companies or private and public sector organizations.

While being known for many things, one of the most noteworthy, Columbus is the state capital and Ohio's largest city. One of the unique tidbits about Ohio is The Y Bridge in Zanesville was first built in 1814 to span the confluence of the Licking and Muskingum Rivers. The current bridge is the fifth construction at the same location. "Ripley's Believe It or Not" proclaimed it the only bridge in the world which you can cross and still be on the same side of the river.

Leadership

Operating officers recognize and create policies for the overall direction of companies or private and public sector organizations.

They regularly present data at meetings or conventions to promote services and accomplish objectives and direct business or departmental efforts concerned with the production or distribution of products.

They are required to evaluate and judge the efficacy of solutions and manage and maintain budgets and other financial resources.

Operating officers should be able to think through problems and come up with general rules and piece together evidence to, in some sense, diagnose what is going on in a situation.

In order to be successful in the workplace, operating officers must have exceptional integrity and want to innovate to meet new challenges.
