State figures show that global business managers in Vermont earn $45 per hour or $92,000 per year on average. In the U.S. as a whole, their income is $44 hourly or $90,000 per year on average.

Nicknamed the Green Mountain State, Vermont has a population of 621,760, which has grown by 2.1 percent in the last 10 years. The capital is Montpelier. There were a total of 434,917 jobs in 2008 and people in Vermont earned more than the previous year as the average annual income was $38,700, up from $37,735. The unemployment rate in Vermont was 6.9 percent in 2009, which has grown by 2.4 percentage points since the previous year. Roughly 29.4 percent of Vermont residents have college degrees, which is higher than the national average.

In Vermont, the top employers are in computer product manufacturing, nonupholstered wood household furniture manufacturing, sporting goods merchant wholesalers and fixture manufacturing.

One of the many things Vermont is known for, Montpelier, is the largest producer of maple syrup in the U.S. Vermont has many unique characteristics, but one fun fact in particular is Montpelier, Vermont is the only U.S. state capital without a McDonalds.

In order to be successful in the workplace, global business managers must be able to absorb the factors involved and a problem and provide a well thought out solution and be thorough and dependable.
