Nicknamed the Sooner State, Oklahoma has a population of 3,687,050. It's population has increased 6.9 percent over the last 10 years. The state capital is Oklahoma City. In 2008, there were a total of 2,206,469 jobs and at $35,969, the average annual income in Oklahoma was higher than the previous year's per capita figure of $34,298. The unemployment rate in Oklahoma was 6.4 percent in 2009. It rose by 2.7 percentage points from the previous year. Roughly 20.3 percent of state residents have college degrees. This is under the national average.

The top employing fields in Oklahoma include shipping container manufacturing, pump manufacturing, oil field machinery manufacturing and all other industrial machinery manufacturing.

While being known for many things, one of the most noteworthy, Turner Falls Park in Davis is the oldest park in Oklahoma. Many springs from the world famous Arbuckle Mountains form Honey Creek that cascades down a seventy-seven foot fall to a natural swimming pool making the majestic Turner Falls the largest waterfall in Oklahoma. One of the unique tidbits about Oklahoma is Anadarko is home to the only authentic Indian City in the United States. It is located in the beautiful Washita river valley in southwest Oklahoma.

They are required to direct the development of teams and individuals with the aim of problem solving and task completion and listen well to others and take in their information and issues.

Human relations managers should be able to listen to and understand others in meetings and understand what others are saying to them even in a noisy environment.

In order to be successful in the workplace, human relations managers must have exceptional integrity and be able to take change and lead.
