There are plenty of job and employment prospects for financial analysts in Ohio. In Ohio, there are currently 7,020 jobs for financial analysts and this is projected to grow by 24 percent to 8,550 jobs by 2016. Over the next 10 years, the national job pool is projected to rise by 19 percent, short of the state growth for financial analysts. In general, financial analysts conduct quantitative analyses of information affecting investment programs of public or private institutions.

State figures show that financial analysts in Ohio earn $34 per hour or $71,000 per year on average. In the U.S. as a whole, their income is $41 hourly or $84,000 per year on average.

Nicknamed the Buckeye State, Ohio is home to 11,542,645 people. It's population has increased 1.7 percent over the last 10 years. The state capital is Columbus. There were 6,819,050 total jobs in 2008 and workers in Ohio earned more than the previous year with an average annual income of $35,889, up from $35,174. The unemployment rate in Ohio was 10.2 percent in 2009. It went up by 3.6 percentage points since the previous year. The number of residents with a college degree is 21.1 percent. This is under the national average.

The top employing fields in Ohio include fabricated metal product manufacturing, soap detergent manufacturing, forging and other rubber product manufacturing.

While being known for many things, one of the most noteworthy, Columbus is the state capital and Ohio's largest city. One of the unique tidbits about Ohio is The Y Bridge in Zanesville was first built in 1814 to span the confluence of the Licking and Muskingum Rivers. The current bridge is the fifth construction at the same location. "Ripley's Believe It or Not" proclaimed it the only bridge in the world which you can cross and still be on the same side of the river.

In order to be successful in the workplace, financial analysts must be thorough and dependable and be able to take change and lead.
