There are currently 4,350 jobs for executive officers in Minnesota and that number is growing. A projected rise of one percent in employment opportunities will make the figure 5,640 jobs by 2016. This increase goes against the national trend for executive officers. National projections show a decline of one percent over the next 10 years. Executive officers recognize and create policies for the overall direction of companies or private and public sector organizations.

Executive officers earn $83 per hour or $171,000 per year on average in Minnesota. Nationally, their income is $77 hourly or $160,000 per year on average.

Nicknamed the North Star State, Minnesota has a population of 5,266,214, which has grown by 7.0 percent in the last 10 years. Saint Paul is the state capital. There were a total of 3,567,295 jobs in 2008 and people in Minnesota earned more than the previous year as the average annual income was $42,953, up from $41,693. Minnesota has many unique characteristics, but one fun fact in particular is the climate-controlled Metrodome is the only facility in the country to host a Super Bowl, a World Series and a NCAA Final Four Basketball Championship.
