Business Economics Jobs and MBA Programs in Washington

Those thinking about careers as controllers can find educational and employment prospects in Washington. Currently, there are 10,340 jobs for controllers in Washington and the job pool is projected to rise by seven percent over the next 10 years nationally. In general, controllers conduct research, prepare reports and formulate plans to aid in solution of economic problems arising from production and distribution of goods and services.

In Washington, the income for controllers is $52 per hour or $107,000 per year. In the U.S. as a whole, their income is $53 hourly or $110,000 per year on average.

Washington, also known as the Evergreen State, has a population of 6,664,195. It has grown by 13.1 percent in the last 10 years. Olympia is the state capital. Controllers should be able to evaluate problems as they arise and articulate ideas and problems.

In order to be successful in the workplace, controllers must have exceptional integrity and be able to absorb the factors involved and a problem and provide a well thought out solution.
