Business Economics Jobs and MBA Programs in Pennsylvania

There are many career and education opportunities for controllers in Pennsylvania. There are currently 16,280 jobs for controllers in Pennsylvania and according to national projections, the job pool will rise by seven percent over the next 10 years. Controllers conduct research, prepare reports and formulate plans to aid in solution of economic problems arising from production and distribution of goods and services.

The income for controllers is $47 per hour or $97,000 per year on average in Pennsylvania. Nationally, their income is $53 hourly or $110,000 per year on average.

Home to 12,604,767 people, Pennsylvania, known as Keystone State, has grown by 2.6 percent in the last 10 years. Harrisburg is the state capital. In 2008, the total number of jobs was 7,407,409 and the average annual income in Pennsylvania was $39,762, which is up from $38,738 the previous year. Controllers should be able to evaluate problems as they arise and articulate ideas and problems.

In order to be successful in the workplace, controllers must have exceptional integrity and be able to absorb the factors involved and a problem and provide a well thought out solution.
