Those looking for careers as controllers should consider the educational and employment opportunities in Nevada. There are currently 4,570 jobs for controllers in Nevada and national projections show the job pool increasing by seven percent over the next 10 years. State figures show that controllers in Nevada earn $44 per hour or $91,000 per year on average. In the U.S. as a whole, their income is $53 hourly or $110,000 per year on average.

Also known as the Silver State, Nevada has a population of 2,643,085. It's population has increased 32.3 percent over the last 10 years. The state capital is Carson City. There were 1,638,004 total jobs in 2008 and workers in Nevada earned more than the previous year with an average annual income of $40,936, up from $40,930. The unemployment rate in Nevada was 11.8 percent in 2009. It went up by 5.1 percentage points since the previous year. The number of residents with a college degree is 18.2 percent. This is under the national average.
