Texas has an abundance of educational and career opportunities for business administrators. The job pool for business administrators in Texas is growing and currently sits at 159,170. A 10 percent bump in the number of jobs is projected to put the figure at 169,700 by 2016. This is above a steady national projection. Texas, nicknamed the Lone Star State, has seen its population grow 18.8 percent to 24,782,302 over the last decade. The state capital is Austin. Business administrators must be able to listen to and understand others in meetings. They should also have the ability to articulate ideas and problems.

In order to be successful in the workplace, business administrators must be reliable and be able to take change and lead.
