Indiana is a great place to settle for business administrators as there are many educational and employment prospects. Trending downward, the job pool for business administrators in Indiana is currently 24,540. A three percent dip in the number of jobs is projected to put the figure at 24,270 by 2016. This is below a steady national projection. State figures show that business administrators in Indiana earn $50 per hour or $104,000 per year on average. In the U.S. as a whole, their income is $52 hourly or $107,000 per year on average.

Home to 6,423,113 people, Indiana, known as Hoosier State, has grown by 5.6 percent in the last 10 years. Indianapolis is the state capital. In 2008, the total number of jobs was 3,718,148 and the average annual income in Indiana was $34,543, which is up from $33,702 the previous year. In Indiana, the unemployment rate went up by 4.3 percentage points to 10.1 percent in 2009 from the previous year. The number of residents with a college degree is 19.4 percent, which is under the national average.

Manufacturing, primary metal manufacturing, iron mills manufacturing and motor vehicle transmission train parts manufacturing are the top employing fields in Indiana.

One of the many things Indiana is known for, Most of the state's rivers flow south and west, eventually emptying into the Mississippi. However, the Maumee flows north and east into Lake Erie. Lake Wawasee is the states largest natural lake. Indiana has many unique characteristics, but one fun fact in particular is Crawfordsville is the home of the only known working rotary jail in the United States. The jail with its rotating cellblock was built in 1882 and served as the Montgomery County jail until 1972. It is now a museum.

They regularly oversee staff, preparing work schedules and assigning specific duties and establish departmental policies and processes, conferring with board members, organization officials, and staff as needed.

They are required to respond to the actions of other and coordinate activities with them,. Also, they must listen well to others and take in their information and issues.

Business administrators must be able to listen to and understand others in meetings. They should also have the ability to articulate ideas and problems.

In order to be successful in the workplace, business administrators must be reliable and be able to take change and lead.
