Financial managers can find success in Kentucky as the state has plenty of educational and employment prospects. In Kentucky, there are currently 7,200 jobs for financial managers and the job pool is projected to rise by seven percent over the next 10 years nationally. In general, financial managers conduct research, prepare reports and formulate plans to aid in solution of economic problems arising from production and distribution of goods and services.

In Kentucky, the income for financial managers is $40 per hour or $82,000 per year. In the U.S. as a whole, their income is $53 hourly or $110,000 per year on average.

Nicknamed the Bluegrass State, Kentucky is home to 4,314,113 people. It's population has increased 6.7 percent over the last 10 years. The state capital is Frankfort. In 2008, there were a total of 2,442,252 jobs and at $31,936, the average annual income in Kentucky was higher than the previous year's per capita figure of $31,060. The unemployment rate in Kentucky was 10.5 percent in 2009. It rose by 3.9 percentage points from the previous year. Roughly 17.1 percent of state residents have college degrees. This is under the national average.

The top employing fields in Kentucky include tobacco product merchant wholesalers, alumina production, couriers and couriers.

While being known for many things, one of the most noteworthy, Thunder Over Louisville is the opening ceremony for the Kentucky Derby Festival and is the world's largest fireworks display. One of the unique tidbits about Kentucky is Cumberland is the only waterfall in the world to regularly display a Moonbow. It is located just southwest of Corbin.

They are required to manage and maintain budgets and other financial resources. Also, they must listen well to others and take in their information and issues.

Financial managers should be able to articulate ideas and problems and read and understand documents and reports.

In order to be successful in the workplace, financial managers must have exceptional integrity and be reliable.
